Landscape as self portrait is a representation of my current emotional during a personal upheaval. Using dilapidated and disused bus shelters to underpin the sense of place. They play a pivotal role to visualise the notion of time.
Initially taking test shots in colour digital I finally decided to use black and white analogue film. In between these decisions I encountered major personal upheaval, the disolution of my twenty year marriage. After receiving some disturbing news, I woke up to snow the next day. The weather being transitory I went out that morning.
While crossing the motorway back and forth, it started to snow. It became a metaphor for my state of mind. the snow stayed on the ground for the rest of the week.
